Inspire Consulting Australia and the MND and Me Foundation: Supporting Individuals with Motor Neurone Disease

At Inspire Consulting Australia, we are proud to partner with the MND and Me Foundation to provide support coordination for individuals living with Motor Neurone Disease (MND). Our collaborative approach ensures that each individual receives the personalised care and resources they need, fostering independence and improving quality of life
Support Coordination
We have Support Coordinators who offer advice, links to local service providers and suppliers, referrals to educational programs and allied health services, as well as help to access funding through National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), Department of Veteran Affairs (DVA) and My Aged Care (MAC).
No matter what age or stage you’re at, a Support Coordinator will guide and assist you to access the services you need to maintain quality of life.
Living with Motor Neurone Disease (MND) can feel overwhelming at times, especially as your needs change. You don’t have to navigate it alone.
We provide personalised support that comes to you—most often in the comfort of your own home—through our coordinators located across Australia. For those in more regional or remote areas, or where travel isn’t practical, we also offer flexible remote support so you can still access the guidance and care you need.
Our approach is simple: we listen, we adapt, and we work alongside you, your family, and your care team to support your independence, comfort, and quality of life.
No matter where you live, we’re here to make sure you feel supported, connected, and understood.
Understanding Motor Neurone Disease
Motor Neurone Disease is a progressive neurological condition that affects the motor Neurones in the brain and spinal cord. These Neurones are responsible for controlling muscle movement, and as they deteriorate, individuals may experience muscle weakness, difficulty speaking, swallowing, and eventually breathing. While there is currently no cure, early intervention and tailored support can make a significant difference in managing the symptoms and enhancing daily living.

If you want to know about MND, we highly recommend completing the UTAS Motor Neurone Disease MOOC which is one of the latest online free courses developed in Australia.
Our effective partnership
Through our partnership with the MND and Me Foundation, we have established a comprehensive support network for individuals affected by MND. Our dedicated team works closely with clients to develop personalised care plans that address their unique needs and goals. We believe that an effective relationship between our coordinators, clients, and their families is key to navigating the challenges of MND.

Our Support Includes:
- Resource Coordination: Connecting individuals with essential services and resources.
- Representing the needs and preferences of clients within the healthcare system.
- Emotional Support: Providing a compassionate listening ear and guidance for families facing the challenges of MND.
Through this partnership, we aim to empower individuals to live fulfilling lives despite their diagnosis, ensuring they have access to the support they need.
